1. From the kde desktop, click on the kde button on the system menu

2. Choose ->KPPP

3. In the 'kppp' box click 'Setup'

4. In the 'kppp configuration' box select the 'Accounts' tab and click on 'New' on the right-hand side

5. Select the 'Dial' tab in the 'New Account' box and enter the following:

Connection Name: elive
Phone Number: enter a local number suitable for your location
Authenication: PAP [either is ok, both PAP and CHAP are supported]

6. Next select the 'IP' tab and select Dynamic IP Address

7. Next select the 'DNS' tab in the 'New Account' box and enter the following:

Domain Name: elive.ie
DNS IP Address: 212.120.138.2
Click 'Add'
DNS IP Address: 212.120.138.3

8. Next select the 'Gateway' tab and select 'Default Gateway' as the default

9. When done, close and click 'OK'

10. The first dialog now contains 'elive', enter the following:

Login ID: elive@elivefree.net
Password: elive
Click 'Connect'
