We have received a number of reports of a misleading email that is being sent to customers requesting payment for domain “Renewal Notification Services” from a company called IDS Ireland.

This is a company offering a notification service rather than actual domain registrations. We already send out automated notification emails regarding the upcoming renewal of domains registered with us at no cost.

This email is looking to mislead customers as to the renewal status of their domains where they source publicly available information such as a domain expiry date while likely pulling other info (Company Address, Email address etc.) from your website in order to lend credibility to the message.

These emails should be IGNORED & DELETED. If you have any doubts as to the renewal status of your domain we would recommend you login into your Elive Client area to view the renewal dates of any of your domain names or feel free to send an email to support@elive.net and we will let you know when your domain is due to expire.
