Increased number of messages stopped by Spam Scanners

We have investigated an issue with an increased number of messages being stopped by our Corporate Spam Scanning service.

A recent update to Microsoft Outlook means that emails being send now appear to sometimes include a HTML Script in the email body.

A temporary solution is to login to your Scanning server interface with us, and user the Configuration Options, tick the box to “Allow HTML Scripting“. This is a domain wide setting.

While we do not recommend this, as scripts in HTML can also be malicious, this is the only solution for the moment until Microsoft fix the issues in Outlook.

Note: Behaviour can be replicated by sending an email from Outlook Desktop, which get stopped with HTML Script, and then login to the Web Portal at Office.com and send the same email. Email from the web portal will not get stopped, as it will not contain the HTML Script.
